I am a fourth-year student studying mechanical engineering at UCSB and I have always been obsessed with cars. As soon as I learned how to read, I would spend hours flipping through picture books about supercars, memorizing license plates I read on the road, and quizzing my grandma on every model of car that passed by. Since experiencing the challenges facing the current automobile industry including the climate impact, safety during accidents, and affordability, I have committed to revolutionizing the cars of the future.ย
At UCSB, I lead the Gaucho Racing club as the Chief Electrical Engineer in designing, manufacturing, and racing an electric race car in the Formula SAE competition. Through this experience, I have been able to develop engineering, leadership, and communication skills through competitions, car shows, and research presentations.
Through my internships at Tesla and Seek Thermal, I have gained valuable experience in designing for manufacturing, GD&T, and specific design considerations.
